DeLaina Tonks is the Director of the award-winning Mountain Heights Academy where she promotes collaboration and leverages technology to improve education.
She is a frequent presenter on open educational resources and online learning, and has been featured at national and international conferences speaking on topics such as creating open content, leveraging data-driven instruction, implementing best practices for online teachers, and using technology to improve education.
DeLaina earned a PhD Instructional Psychology and Technology at her initial alma mater, Brigham Young University.
DeLaina is originally from Utah, but spent two years in Tahiti when she was in first and second grades, a summer abroad in Mexico after high school, and 13 years teaching in beautiful Columbus, Ohio.
